On Tuesday, November 5th from 8-3pm we will be hosting a "Workday in the Garden" for interested adult volunteers. Parents, grandparents, friends, teachers, and staff are encouraged to sign up for a slot at http://tinyurl.com/helpLES. On this day we will be doing a number of outdoor chores including weeding, planting, and mulching. Feel free to help out for an hour or all day. If you have not done so this year, please visit the Office and fill out a Volunteer Application. Thank you for all you do!
Students and Parents, Please feel free to print off this form if your student would like to be an active member of the Going Green Garden Club. This club will be working with our Learning Garden spaces as well as taking a role in the recycling initiative at our school. On Friday, September 27th wonderful parents , spouses, and siblings came out to lend a hand with filling in our new garden beds with soil. The beautiful raised beds were provided by Backyard Farmer and the garden gloves were provided by Henrico Education Foundation funds. Students planted lettuces, chard, kale, brussel sprouts, and broccoli. What a great day in the dirt!
